About Us

Our History

Deer Park Archers have been a GNAS Club for 12 years and as a Target Archery Club we have had many successes. Late in 2006 we decided to branch out and try Field Archery, whilst progress was slow to start with, it is certainly picking up momentum and the fact we will be able to shoot through the winter has been a great boost. To encourage use of the course we have also affiliated to the NFAS as High Cross Field Archery Club. We intend to host both types of events as we gain experience.
We have been fortunate to had help from Ray and Marrion Howles in setting up the course and from Andrew Rees who is helping us with the organisation of the GWAS Field Championships which we hosted as a non record status event in 2007. We will again be hosting the event in 2008 but this year it will be a record status Arrowhead event and will take place on Sunday 5th October and will be a Combined FITA Round.
