Coach Training - Feb 10th
Level 1 and 2 coach training continuing well, next week 7 of the club coaches will be attending
3 hour workshops on Autistic Spectrum Disorder Training at Oxstalls.
Coaching Club coaches met last week to discuss the results of the coaching survey and
as a result a number of actions have been agreed. These can be summarized as, organizing some specific improver sessions
about 3 months after completion of a beginners course ( we will be implementing a back date programme for those who have completed
courses in last 6 months). To separate a couple of bosses specifically for coaching, at Bubbs Hill and allocate coaches
to work with members shooting on them. To introduce an arm band system, coaches wearing them are available for coaching,
those not wearing them not to be approached as they will either already be coaching or are shooting. A programme
of workshops to be arranged and dates published. Fuller details will be published on the club website asap. Please note that over the next few months that there are at least 5 coaches who
will be busy taking qualifications, undergoing assessments etc.
Club Coaching Survey Results January 2010
Members
were surveyed by questionnaire on what their views were on current coaching activity, format of practice sessions and preferences
for workshops. The summarised results can be viewed via the link. The club coaches will meet to discuss the results further
and make recommendations to the full committee.
