8 after-school events will be running during the summer term. Due to demand, each day of the week will see programmes running
at 2 venues. Some will be the continuation of after-school clubs that have met over the last few terms and been supported
by Sport Unlimited. These clubs are now self-sustaining and will be run by a combination of Deer Park Archers Coaches and
School Staff, all those shooting will be Archery GB Junior members, there will be no beginners on these programmes, just improvers.
Five new beginners programmes will start at new schools under the Sport Unlimited program. All are fully resourced.
Details to follow.
Deer Park Archers have signed up to run 18 Sport Unlimited programmes from April 2010 to March
2011, many of these will be run as after-school clubs but others with youth groups.
School Teams will be at the Gloucestershire Archery Society County
Junior Championships!
In September 2010 there will be a separate section for school teams to compete using
Genesis Bows. Those shooting will be able to wear their school colours and loan Deer Park Archers equipment and will shoot
National Rounds. The event will be held at Cheltenham Archers ground on September 11th.
